We celebrated Jim's 54th birthday on Saturday with a relaxing barbeque at home with Kevin. We started our feast with hors d'oeuvres served in the swimming pool and then threw a flank steak and New York strip steak on the barbeque (after Kevin made an emergency trip to get gas!). Like a little kid, Jim couldn't wait to open his presents, but we made him wait. As you can see, the wait was well worth it! David, Brian and Kevin gave him a Kurt Warner jersey so that he can cheer on the Arizona Cardinals in style; we can't believe our first pre-season game is THIS Thursday. Go Cardinals!!!! We finished off the celebration with ice cream as we watched the Diamondbacks play the Dodgers. Birthday "weekend" continued the next day with a phone call from David, an E-mail from Brian, and lunch out with Diane after church.
