Kevin has a new address

Last weekend Kevin moved into an apartment closer to work (and to us!). He shares the apartment with two roommates. He is living at Stonebridge Ranch, 575 West Pecos Road #1151, Chandler, Arizona 85225. Because of a mix-up with the utility company, he is spending the weekend with us as the apartment presently doesn't have any power - not a livable situation in Phoenix in July! He is anxiously waiting to get a hold of someone in the business office of the utility company on Monday.

Rehab is going well

It has now been two months and 3 days since my ACL surgery on my left knee, and I have been going to physical therapy for 3 weeks. I have come a long way since this picture was taken just after the surgery, and I am so glad to be back to a lot of my daily activities. My therapy was a bit too aggressive, and I ended up with some tendonitis in both knees. However, the doctor gave me some Naproxen at my appointment on Tuesday, and he asked the therapist to scale back on some of the exercises I was doing. Thankfully, the tendonitis is subsiding; it makes for a much better start to my day to get out of bed in the morning and not have pain with the first step. Wow, what we take for granted! I was reminded that it was going to be a slow rehab process. My goal is to be pretty mobile for the kids' visit in October. Brian has forewarned me that I will need to be in pretty good shape to keep up with his little girl! :)

We can't wait for October to come!

We are excited for October to come! Brian, Ann, and Natasha will be coming to visit us from Thailand for THREE weeks. We haven't seen Natasha since she was 8 weeks old. She is now crawling and making all sorts of delightful baby noises. David and Megan will be coming for a visit some time during that three weeks. It will be a little slice of heaven for us to have all three boys at home.
